25 September: Mova, representing EE, Three, Virgin Media O2, and Vodafone, has been honoured with The Barrier Removal Award at the 2025 Connected Britain Awards for its groundbreaking work on the Shared Rural Networkprogramme.
The award celebrates initiatives that have overcome the toughest challenges in connectivity rollout. The SRN stood out to judges for its unique industry-wide collaboration, which successfully dismantled long-standing commercial barriers and significantly improved rural mobile coverage. By addressing partial not-spots on a national scale, the programme has delivered results ahead of schedule, ensuring more communities across the UK benefit from access to mobile connectivity.
This recognition highlights the operators and the Government’s commitment to bridging the digital divide and delivering connectivity that reaches everyone.
